The main focus of this District is stated to be commercial and light industrial development across the 335 acres northwest of Highway 41 and Prairie Avenue, together with a 50-acre regional shopping center (Commercial Tracts at Prairie Crossings) located on the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Prairie Avenue. The 2025 plan ammendment provides public infrastructure project support related to a new medical campus (hospital, emergency, imaging and office space) located southeast of Highway 41 and Prairie Avenue, together with commercial and mixed-use growth anticipated throughout the geographic area.
