What We Do
The Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency works closely with the Mayor and City Council to expand public utilities, construct a new water reservoir serving the western portion of the City, construct new sewer facilities, improve roadways, address traffic problems, create new parks and secure sites for the construction of new school buildings.
To date, in its six active and one closed Renewal Districts, the Urban Renewal Agency has created a total of 2,900 new jobs in the City of Post Falls. These jobs are allocated among the following categories:

Staff Members

Luke Malek
Luke is a graduate of The College of Idaho. He
earned a bachelors degree in Politics and Economics in 2004. After
college, he worked for Senator Larry Craig before joining the Dirne
Community Health Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho as the Director of
Communications and Development. He then worked for the Governor of
Idaho, Jim Risch, as the Northern Idaho Regional Director. Malek
joined the Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency as its Executive Director in
March, 2007.
Matt Weaver
Matt is also a graduate of The College of Idaho.
There he studied economic development and earned a BA in Business and
International Political Economy in 2008. Prior to joining the Post Falls
Urban Renewal Agency, Matt worked for the Canyon County Economic Development
Council in
